Who's most likely to buy your home?
By Sabra Morris | January 11, 2019
Look under any digital rock these days, and you’ll find it’s still true: The Internet loves to talk about millennials. So does media. So does everyone. And rightly so: Millenials are still a powerful global spending force.
However, as Generation Z (individuals born between 1995 and 2005) bursts onto the home-buying scene, we’re already beginning to see a shift in focus.
Consider this: a new study by Property Shark finds Generation Z to be more optimistic (and less finicky) than millennials about purchasing a future home. In fact, while millennials report dreaming of a home that comes in at around 1,881 square feet, members of Gen Z report aspirations of owning a home as large as 2,000 square feet or more.
Here’s another tidbit: 83% of Gen Z-ers surveyed say they plan to buy a home within the next five years.
Considering just half of the members of Gen Z are old enough to vote, that’s a dramatic finding.
